Privacy Policy
Short version: we're Apps for People, not Data from People. The full, serious version follows.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Bot Garage LLC (“Bot Garage,” “we,” “us”), a limited liability company, handles information in connection with the mobile applications we publish on the Apple App Store and Google Play (the “Apps”) and this website. Bot Garage LLC is the data controller. Contact: support@botgarage.co.
2. Information we collect
By default, our Apps are designed to collect minimal or no personal information. We do not require you to create an account unless an App clearly says so, and we do not sell your personal information.
Some Apps may need specific data to work (for example, content you create stored on your device, or permissions such as camera or notifications that you can grant or deny). Any App-specific data collection is described in that App's store listing (Apple's App Privacy “nutrition label” and Google Play's Data safety section) and, where applicable, in the App itself. If an App's disclosures are more specific than this policy, those disclosures apply to that App.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to respond to you.
3. Third-party services
Some Apps may use third-party services, which process data under their own privacy policies:
- Analytics (e.g., Firebase/Google Analytics, Apple App Analytics) to understand aggregate usage, which may include device type, OS version, app version, and usage events tied to a random identifier.
- Crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) to collect diagnostic data such as crash logs and device state.
- Advertising (e.g., Google AdMob), which may use device advertising identifiers. On iOS, we request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency before tracking; you can reset or limit ad identifiers in your device settings.
- In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment card details; we receive only confirmation of purchase status.
Each App's store listing identifies which of these, if any, it uses.
4. How we use information
To provide and improve the Apps, fix bugs, respond to support requests, show ads where an App is ad-supported, verify purchases, and comply with law. Our legal bases under GDPR are performance of a contract, our legitimate interests (such as keeping Apps working and secure), consent (where required, e.g., for personalized ads), and legal obligations.
5. Children's privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) unless an App is expressly designated for children, in which case it will comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Apple's Kids Category rules and Google Play's Families Policy, and will not use behavioral advertising or third-party tracking. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@botgarage.co and we will delete it.
6. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Support emails are generally kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Third-party analytics and crash data are retained per those providers' settings (typically 14 months or less). Data stored only on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the App.
7. Deleting your data
You can request deletion of any personal data we hold by emailing support@botgarage.co with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and the name of the App. We will confirm and complete the request within 30 days, unless we are legally required to retain certain information. Uninstalling an App removes data stored locally on your device. If an App offers an account, it will also provide an in-app way to delete that account.
8. Your privacy rights
California (CCPA/CPRA) and other U.S. states (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and others): depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, access it, correct it, delete it, obtain a copy, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
EEA/UK (GDPR): you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Because our providers may process data in the United States, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
To exercise any right, email support@botgarage.co. We may need to verify your request.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or store listing where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
